Hi, I’m Maleesha and welcome to my blog!
I grew up in a household where fashion was never just about clothes. My mom was a designer who worked for Victoria’s Secret in the 90s, and watching her work — the way she thought about fabric, fit, and the woman who would eventually wear what she created — shaped how I see style to this day.
I didn’t follow the same formal path she did. No design school, no studio training. But I inherited something just as valuable: a deep appreciation for why clothes matter, and a genuine curiosity about what makes an outfit truly work.
That foundation turned into years of self-teaching. Studying how clothes fit different bodies, how color and proportion change everything, how the same pair of jeans can look completely different depending on what you pair them with. Fashion, I realized, isn’t about following trends or rules— it’s about understanding them well enough to know when to break them.
Why I Started This Blog
After seven years working in the corporate world, I made a decision that changed everything — I chose myself.
With a background in content writing and a lifelong love of fashion, starting a blog felt like the natural intersection of everything I already knew how to do and everything I genuinely cared about. Today I’m self-employed, working on my own schedule, building something that’s entirely mine — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Outfit On Point became the place where my two worlds met. I wanted to create content that treated getting dressed as a practical skill — one that anyone could develop, regardless of budget, body type, or style experience. Not runway looks or expensive pieces that photograph beautifully but that no one would actually wear to run errands, meet a friend for coffee, or navigate a long day at work. Real outfits. Real life. Real advice.
What You’ll Find Here
Whether you’re looking for outfit inspiration for a specific occasion, trying to figure out what works for your body type, exploring nail and beauty trends, or just wanting to feel more confident in what you wear every day — this is the right place.
The goal has always been the same: to make style feel accessible, not intimidating. To show that you don’t need a huge wardrobe, an unlimited budget, or a personal stylist to look and feel great. You just need a little know-how — and that’s exactly what I’m here to share.
A Word From Me to You
If you’ve ever stood in front of a full wardrobe and felt like you had nothing to wear — I get it.
But style is learnable. Confidence is buildable. And it starts with one good outfit that makes you feel like yourself.
I hope something here helps you find yours.
